Re: Europe
Hey guys! Must be strange to pay 20$ now for a meal eh??? The Dead sea seemed like a very cool experience. How about Greece? Is it too touristy to the point it's annoing or still mentally sustainable and worth the trip (and the $$$$)?

And Italia.... Alex and i went to Florence a few years ago... so beautiful (and so noisy with it's million vespas buzzing anywhere in any direction in what seemed to me to be total chaos!!!). Alex did indeed buy a very beautiful leather jacket over there.

But my best souvenir of Italia (well, turns out it's my best souvenir of Thailand too!!!!) is the food. Le paste... con li fromagii... e il vino.... mamma mia.. delicioso... e la grande finale... li gelati!!!

I don,t know what is your itinerary, but I hope you're not missing Venezia. And the Alps. I really loved the Alps (I skied there too a few years back). If you ever go north -west, and end up in Aosta, please please please pay a visit to Spazio Musica, a music store in downtown old Aosta (it's a very small city, you can't miss it), and salute Nicola, the owner for me. He helped me out one day (too much of a long story to write you) and we became friends; the following year, I decided to go back to Aosta for my ski trip , to see Nicola again. Anyways, if you don't go to the Alps, well it's because your going to another fantastic place!!!!! Which I will make sure to read about!

Enjoy Italia,

Ciao amici,

Jérôme

Re: Keep writing
Hi Jen, hi Paul,

Keep on writing, keep on being positive, keep on travelling. And you keep us dreaming!
How about a stop in Québec when landing in North America????? It could be a cool last "cultural" experience before diving back into Uncle Sam's life!

Take care of yourselves,

Jérôme and Alexandra

Re: Travel stories
Hello my friends,

Just a quick note to let you know how much I appreciate reading you. Your stories are very well written and entertaining. I really feel for a moment back on the road... And I think i need it! Back here in North America, it is very SAME SAME too.... but unsurprisingly hardly different. Experiencing the world for two months (for my case), being filled with experiences, good or bad, and coming back to a "has not really evoluted" society is let's say... interesting (to be nice). I know the road is tough. But how rich you will come back is really worthed (we, travellers, may be the richest people here, yet poor! or the richest poors or the poorest richs!!!). I am very confortable tonight in front of the computer, and exactly now would not, at first, trade my space for arriving at night, tired, ditry, with heavy backpack in an unknown intimidating big city. But thinkhing about work tomorrow, my old car that leaks fuel (not talking about the funny noises from the direction!), my realestor that can't do miracles to find us a nice place at a decent price, the stupid mortgage dealing, the interest rates, the deductions on my paycheck, my laundry in the drier I must fold, and finally our fragile far from erfect and maybe getting worst social system, and crazy north american lifestyles... well... probably now i would trade that kind of bad stress to the more natural physical stress of finding food and shelter!

Keep on being our half hour escape by your good writings. By the way, excellent pics. They must have taken lots of time and patience to take (!!!) But it is really worthed! You won't hardly have to use photoshop back here!!

all right, take good care, and enjoy the good food wherever you are!

Sabaidee!
